A GUIDE TO CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAMS
In the 1997-1998 chapter year, the members of the Professional Development committee, Ann Lee (Dow Jones), Annamarie Erickson (CLS), Donna Smith (CSC Index), and Danguole Kviklys (Panduit), identified institutions in Illinois which offer continuing education in business and information systems. So far, the programs identified are in the Chicago vicinity and are offered by major colleges and universities.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Many of our members might find the following programs attractive because they are of short-term duration, focus on specific topics, and in many cases do not require formal business coursework. In some instances, certificates are awarded upon completion. Of all the colleges and universities surveyed, Loyola University at Chicago, was the only one that gave a special discount to SLA members.
