Please join your SLA colleagues to celebrate the holiday season!

The traditional chapter year end awards will be presented to chapter members who have made outstanding contributions, both in chapter work and in the profession as a whole. A deserving veteran member will also receive the chapter's Leadership Summit Stipend.

WHEN:
Wednesday, December 3, 2008, 5:30-7:30
Registration begins at 5:15.  Beverages and heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served beginning at 5:30.  Each guest will receive a champagne cocktail to start the festivities!

SLA Members & Library Science Students: FREE!
Non-Members: $10

SLA Cares - Joins Every1can Food Drive for Greater Chicago Food Depository.  
Bring items to December 3, 2008 Holiday Party

SLA Cares is sponsoring a food drive to benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository at our December 3 Holiday Party. 

Needed items include:
* Items high in protein - canned chicken and tuna, beef stew, beans, chili and peanut butter
* Canned fruit and vegetables
* Fruit juice
* Jelly
* Macaroni and cheese
* Grains - rice and pasta

Please, no glass containers.  And remember, NON-perishable food only.

In Cook County, more than 309,600 people rely on food provided by the Greater Chicago Food Depository.  Last year, the Food Depository distributed more than 40 million pounds of food through their network of 600 agencies - the equivalent of more than 84,300 meals per day, 365 days a year.  With our help, Every1can will make a difference.
