Join us as we mix and mingle, experienced librarians and new, making new contacts and learning new things. Experienced pros can learn about new trends from students. Students and newer librarians can learn from their more experienced peers. This is a great opportunity to expand your network!

We will be using a "speed dating" format, where students and newer librarians will be paired with more experienced librarians for five-minute conversations.

As an icebreaker, think about something related to librarianship that you can speak about. It should be related to the profession, but can be something personally related to you or your position. Students, think of new trends you're learning about in school. Examples are:

• Ask me about ... transition from a public to a special library.
• Ask me about ... what I'm learning in my KM class.
• Ask me about ... the seminar I went to last week.
• Ask me about ... acquisitions.

The Chapter is happy to offer a special reduced registration fee of just $10  to library science students for this meeting!

After an hour of networking, hors d'oeuvres will be served and you can continue the conversation with your contacts, new and old!
