Special Libraries: Leading the Way: Trends and Best Practices in the Information Professional Role.

In a working environment characterized by relentless change, leadership is a necessary ingredient for professional success. This session focuses on how information professionals can define and communicate a vision of their role and the value of the information center to stakeholders within their organizations. Information trends, challenges and best practices are offered as context for the effective positioning of the value of the information service.

This session contains valuable information for both students and for seasoned professionals keeping their eye on the pulse of the profession! Patricia Currie, Training and Applications Consultant at Thomson Scientific, will present.

Please note our program will begin a little earlier than usual.

Students: We will be offering a resume review session prior to the meeting. Details will be forthcoming soon.
