In case you missed the April issue of the Illinois Library Association Reporter, three members of SLA’s Illinois chapter were profiled: Susan Chenoweth, Roberto Sarmiento and Laura Barnes. Susan Chenoweth, past president of the chapter, is Manager of the Knowledge Center of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Roberto Sarmiento, who serves on the national SLA Board of Directors, is the Head of Northwestern University’s Transportation Library. Laura Barnes, chair of the Illinois chapter's Governmental Relations committee, is the Librarian at the Illinois Waste Management & Research Center. As part of a series on "One State, Many Faces: The Mosaic of the Illinois Library Community," the cover story discussed the unique challenges and opportunities in special libraries.
