Ways to be Connected to Learnings from New Orleans Conference

If you just can't make it to the Annual Conference this year in New Orleans, and you weren't even able to sign up for the SLA Virtual Connections portion of the conference, we are going to do our best to keep you in the loop and provide you with some professional development back at home! If you aren't already signed up for Twitter, go ahead and do so and follow the conference hashtag, #SLA2010, or our chapter hashtag, #SLAIL to  see what those who are attending and tweeting are reporting about.

SLA Virtual Connections Webinar #1: Through the Looking Glass: Reflections on the Evolution of Information in the Past Decade

Despite a temporary technical glitch on our end, the chapter's first webinar was well attended and well received!

Correction: Chapter Leadership Changes

In my haste to get a notice out to the chapter on a Monday morning, I mistakenly flipped the roles of our two new Board members. Filling in for Mary Martinez and Pat McCarthy, who have had to resign due to changes in demands on their time, Sarah Kaufmann will assume the role of Chapter Secretary and Joyce Fedeczko will be serving as our First Year Director. Thanks to our two members who have served us thus far, as well as to the two members who took up the call and agreed to step in and serve the chapter for the remainder of 2010.

Members demonstrate their ability to “find new cheese” in the face of challenges

The past week has been an inspirational one for me.
